Genuine OEM convertible top parts for Saab cabriolets — the 9-3 (1998-2011) and the classic 900 convertible (1994-1998).

Saab convertible tops fail in a predictable pattern. On the 9-3, the hydraulic pump motor is the usual suspect: the top stalls mid-cycle, moves slowly, or the pump runs without the roof moving. Because the pump and its hydraulic cylinders age together, replacing the pump alone often means doing the job twice — the complete assembly with cylinders and lines is the more durable repair.

On the 900, the tonneau lift motor is the classic failure. The rear tonneau cover won't lift, so the top can't fold down into its well and the whole sequence halts.

Saab parts availability is a real problem since the marque wound down — many of these components are no longer produced at any price. Salvage-sourced originals are frequently the only remaining option.
